Sutterby Construction Services is one of the few design build construction firms

constructability and hillside stability. We work proactively as a teammate with the
County Soil and Water Conservation specialists as well as the NYSDEC and the local building
code enforcement departments to provide solutions that meet our clients' expectations.
Our retaining walls are designed for strength and pleasing aesthetics. Every retaining wall
system is unique and dependent upon the site's soil conditions. Our geotechnical engineering
teammates evaluate retaining wall options such as gravity systems, soil anchor systems, piles
and other wall considerations. We also incorporate drainage, regrading and vegetation in our designs.
Steep slope stabilization near water is another specialized service which we provide. The stabilization of steep slopes and bluffs are a challenge. We analyze toe erosion, surface drainage (sheet flow), groundwater, frost, native vegetation, the natural angle of repose by soil type, and other critical factors that influence how we stabilize the slope. Our 50 years of experience is difficult to beat.
